Do you find your bloating always seems to be worse in the evening or as the day goes on?
If so, you’re not alone. Bloating later in the day is one the most common complaints that I hear clients tell me about in my Kinesiology clinic.
Here are some of the reasons this might be happening to you –
- You are low in stomach acid and/or digestive enzymes. This means that when you eat, you are not breaking down and digesting that food properly. Your stomach will only hold your food for a certain period of time, thus when it empties if that food hasn’t been properly digested, it can be harder for your bacteria down in the large intestine to deal with the leftovers which then causes late in the day bloating.
- You could be eating a food that you are sensitive to. Lots of people find that they have food intolerances or sensitivities and whilst some people get an instant reaction, many don’t and find that their body lets them know its unhappy later in the day when the latter parts of digesting are being done. I have had many a client eat something for the breakfast that doesn’t suit them and not get their bloating until teatime.
- There could be something out of balance in your gut microbiome (the immense collection of bacteria that lives in your gut). This could be in one of two ways – you might be lacking enough good bacteria to deal with and break down a particular food that you are eating (thus causing you to bloat). OR you may have too much of a bad bacteria/pathogen that flares ups when you eat a food that it likes to feed off. Both of these imbalances have the potential to cause bloating later in the day.
So what do you to to resolve it? Well, good news is that a Kinesiology session can unpick which of the above reasons is at the root cause of your late in the day bloating. And once we know which one is the problem for you then I will be able to provide you with the solutions to fix it.
This is not a problem that you need to suffer with long term. The solutions to your bloating are actually very straight forward and they will come from rebalancing the body to give it what it needs and/or take away what it doesn’t need (all figured out through Kinesiology testing).
