About Me

Lucy Goodwin, senior kinesiologist & kinesiology educator, bristol

BSc (Hons) Cert.TASK; Dip.TASK Founder, Senior Kinesiologist & Kinesiology Trainer

I’m Lucy Goodwin, a fully qualified Senior Kinesiologist based in Bristol with over a decade of clinical experience. I love working with people who are ready for a deeper, more individualised approach to their health; many of whom feel unheard or stuck with their health issues.

Alongside my private practice, I train and mentor other practitioners, teaching people how to become Kinesiologists through my certified Kinesiology Courses.

I opened my clinic in Bristol in 2014 and have since worked with hundreds of clients, supporting a wide range of health concerns – work I genuinely care deeply about.

Over the years, I’ve also trained and mentored many Kinesiologists who are now practising across Bristol and the UK.

Professional Background & Training

I trained with TASK (The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology), in London – the UK’s governing body for Systematic Kinesiology. TASK was founded by Brian Butler, who brought Kinesiology to the UK from its founder, Dr George Goodheart in the USA. I trained under Brian’s daughter Claire, who continues to run TASK today.

My training means I practice the original, traditional form of Systematic Kinesiology, grounded in muscle testing, energetic balance and whole body health. This traditional, well-rooted training allows me to work calmly and confidently with complex or longstanding cases.

I am qualified to the highest level in Kinesiology having completed –

  • Foundation Level in Kinesiology (levels 1-6)
  • Kinesiology Practitioner’s Course (Distinction).
  • Kinesiology Diploma Course (Merit)

In addition, I am also qualified in:

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or “tapping”)
  • Nutrition (Diploma)
  • I am currently training in Naturopathy

I am also a fully fledged member of TASK UK and tend to work with more complex or longstanding client cases.

Experience & Areas of Specialism

I have been a practising Kinesiologist for over a decade and am also a Kinesiology Tutor. I run the TASK approved Kinesiology Foundation Course and Practitioner Courses, training students who wish to practice professionally.

Whilst I work with all areas of health, my main specialist focus is the gut, the nervous system and stress and hormonal imbalances. I have extensive experience supporting clients with –

  • IBS and digestive dysfunction
  • IBD, SIBO and leaky gut
  • Candida and microbiome imbalance
  • Stress related symptoms and nervous system dysregultion
  • Hormonal imbalances such as peri-menopausal symptoms

My approach is holistic, root cause focussed and always guided by what your body needs, recognising you as a unique individual rather than a set of symptoms.

My Personal Journey with Kinesiology

My path into Kinesiology began in 2012 when I was very unwell myself. After being told I had IBS and finding no relief through conventional medicine, I sought the help of a Kinesiologist in desperation.

After eight months of severe digestive symptoms that left me unable to work and constantly unwell, I experienced a complete recovery after just one kinesiology session.

That experience changed everything for me.

After seeing similar life changing results in friends and family members I referred, I decided to train as a Kinesiologist myself. What started as personal healing has now become my lifelong passion and profession.

I am now a mum of three and continue to witness the benefits of Kinesiology both personally and professionally.  I’ve used Kinesiology to support my children’s health too – including resolving my middle son’s eczema, and this lived experience deeply informs the way I work with my clients.

I bring both professional expertise and genuine understanding to each session offering care that is thoughtful, grounded and deeply personalised.

Today

Today I run a thriving Kinesiology practice serving Coalpit Heath and the wider Bristol area, alongside teaching and mentoring future practitioners. I’m passionate about supporting people to understand their bodies, and I want to give my clients back the confidence and understanding that their bodies are capable of healing themselves and to support them to achieve that goal.
